Mouthwatering Aloo Stuffed Chilli or Bharwa Mirch along with your meal makes the meal really very exotic and delicious? If you think the same so please proceed with the recipe and enjoy making them.
Green chillies (long thick) : 8 – 10
Potato (boiled) : 3
Besan : 2 tsp
Onion : 1 medium size(finely chopped)
Coriander leaves : 2 -3 tsp(finely chopped)
Red Chilly Powder : 1 tsp
Coriander Powder : 1/2 tsp
Garam Masala : 1/2 tsp
Amchur : 1/2 tsp
Saunf : 1tsp
Ajwain : 1/2 tsp
Cumin Seeds : 1 tsp
Hing : a pinch of
Salt : as needed
Oil : 4 tsp
Wash and cut the green chillies in such a way that they will not divide in two parts.Remove steam of chilly.
Put a pan with water and let it boil, in that boiling water add chillies to reduce its heat, If you like spicy food you could skip this step.
This process not only reduces the heat it also helps in consuming less oil while frying.
In between boil potato and peel them, mash them and keep aside.
Now we will make a filling mixture:
Dry roast besan until the raw smell goes away.
Take a pan pour oil, put saunf, ajwain cumin seeds, onion and fry them until onion gets golden brown color.Now add garam masala, coriander powder, red chilly powder, turmeric, salt and fry it for 2 -3 mins. Add roasted besan, amchur and cook for 1 -2 mins, at last add green coriander.
Fill the chillies with this mixture tightly. Heat oil in a pan add cumin seeds, ajwain and a pinch of hing. Place these stuffed chillies with the stuffing facing down(always shallow fry the stuffed side first). Roast on low flame until it is fried,it takes 6-8 mins approximately,close it with lid while roasting.Now turn and roast on the other side for 3-4 mins.
Stuffed chilli is ready to eat, have it with hot rice and daal or with rotis as well.
